Getting here from Savage

Savage runs along Highway 13 on the south bank of the Minnesota River, so for most of the city it's one road east and you're here. County 27 (Quentin Avenue) and County 42 handle the trips from the south side of town.

Savage is on the Scott County side of the river, which means crossing into Dakota County is the one thing to plan around — the Highway 13 corridor backs up at the Burnsville end during the afternoon rush more than people expect.

The vehicle request that follows from that is a half-ton pickup or a cargo-capable SUV that can pull a trailer, priced like a work tool rather than a lifestyle purchase.
